Brevard County Board of County Commissioners Office of Purchasing Services involves the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services at the lowest possible cost, consistent with the quality needed to meet the required standards established
and approved by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners. The goal of the Purchasing Services Office is the constant promotion of the best interest of Brevard County through intelligent action and fair dealings, resulting in obtaining
maximum savings for the County by being good stewards of public funding.
The Purchasing Services Office strives to provide excellent support to the various County Departments, Agencies and Charter offices as requested. The services offered by our office include the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment,
services, and construction procurement. Purchasing Services staff are responsible for administering procurement policies and administrative orders as approved by the Board of County Commissioners and is charged with the responsibility
of ensuring that all purchases are made legally and responsibly in compliance with Federal Regulations and Statutes, Florida Statutes, County policies and administrative orders as applicable.
The Purchasing Services Office, within the Central Services Department reports directly to the Central Services Department Director. The Central Services Department is a component of the Support Services Group under the direction of the County Manager.
Brevard County Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Services maintains a list of bidding opportunities and all associated solicitation documents for opportunities exceeding $15,000 on VendorLink Bid Solicitations at no charge to contractors. Bidding opportunities and all associated documents are also available on the DemandStar website.
