Partnering with the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Brevard County is monitoring the rapidly evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19).
For questions related to COVID-19 in Brevard County, dial 2-1-1 for up-to-date information 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. The Florida Department of Health's dedicated COVID-19 Call Center can be reached by calling 866-779-6121 or emailing COVIDfirstname.lastname@example.org. The Call Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Florida Department of Health is coordinating with local partners to investigate, confirm, contain and report suspected cases.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website has reliable and up-to-date information on how COVID-19 is spread, symptoms, prevention and treatment,
testing, and frequently asked questions. Additional sections include information for communities, schools, and businesses, healthcare professionals, health departments, travel, and laboratories.
Brevard Public Schools is coordinating with the Florida Department of Health in Brevard County to monitor the spread of the disease. Their website links to CDC-authored
resources for more information about coronavirus.
Discuss how your family may take care of sick family members while trying not to get infected. Discuss plans for childcare if caretakers are sick, or if your child becomes sick. Review the guidance from the CDC on home care.
Private and public childcare programs and K-12 schools are encouraged to review information on how to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
