UPDATE: Moore Cultural Center/Museum to Remain Open During Renovations

MIMS, FL. – Initial concerns that renovations would force the Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Center & Museum, located at, 2180 Freedom Avenue, Mims, to close from May 1-8, have not panned out. The decision was made on Thursday to keep the center and museum open to the public throughout the duration of the project, which will impact different sections of the center -- but not all at the same time.

Brevard County Commission OKs Plan To Nearly Triple Road Resurfacing Program

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. – A $6 million-plus annual funding plan that will nearly triple the number of road miles resurfaced in Brevard County beginning in fiscal 2018 received unanimous approval this week from the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners.
Brevard County Implements Burn Ban

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- Due to ongoing drought conditions, favorable to the eruption of wildfires, Brevard County has implemented a ban on open burning throughout the county. The ban, approved Tuesday evening by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners, is effective in both incorporated and unincorporated areas and includes campfires, bonfires, trash burning and other incineration.
