MIMS, FL. – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Department will close the following roads starting at 7:30 a.m. until approximately 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, for the 2nd Annual Freedom 5K Run and Walk: Freedom Avenue, Kentucky Avenue, Kyzer Street, and Singleton Avenue.

COCOA, FL. – Central Area Parks and Recreation is teaming up with Cocoa Police Department, City of Cocoa, Emma Jewel Charter Academy and local community leaders for a “Tribute to Our Legends” event at Provost Park, 400 Varr Ave., in Cocoa. The event will open on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. with a parade from Emma Jewell Charter Academy to Provost Park. Following the parade, the public is invited to participate in field games and play flag football.
