‘Push In’ Ceremony Planned for South Melbourne Beach Fire Station 65

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. – A new fire truck for the South Melbourne Beach area will be officially placed into service during a traditional “Push In” ceremony set for 2 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Brevard County Fire Rescue Fire Station 65, 7400 South A1A.

COCOA, Fla. – Brevard County Parks and Recreation, with the cities of Cocoa and Rockledge, will sponsor a Fireworks Display on Tuesday, July 4, beginning at 9:15 p.m. from Lee Wenner Park, 300 Riveredge Blvd., in Cocoa with viewing from Riverfront Park.

Water Resource Cost-Share Program Pumps Funding into Four Brevard County Projects

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. — Four projects in Brevard County are among 43 statewide environmental cleanup efforts that will share in approximately $21.3 million from the St. Johns River Water Management District for construction of water supply and water conservation, water quality improvement, flood protection and natural systems restoration projects. The district’s Governing Board today approved the project ranking for the fiscal year 2017–2018 Districtwide Annual Cost-share Program.

Brevard County Lifts Burn Ban

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- The start of the rainy season, local weather forecasts highlighted by daily shower activity, and a drop in the Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI) prompted suspension Monday of the County’s burn ban, which had been in place since April 11.
