Sports Events Grants

The Tourist Development Council Sports Committee offers two grant programs; Sports Event and New Sports Event Development Grant Programs. Both grant programs promote sports and sporting events and tournaments in Brevard County while promoting the Space Coast as a tourism destination. The Fiscal Year 2022-2023 cycle projects have been funded and are underway. Please check back in March 2023 for updates and a schedule for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 cycles. Sports and Events Grant Program General Information

The Brevard County Tourist Development Council is pleased to offer the Sports & Event Grant Program for tourism or sports-related organizations to support and enhance athletic events seeking financial assistance for events held on Florida’s Space Coast. The grants are administered by the Sports Committee of the Tourist Development Council. The goal of the grant program is to assist the County in attracting and growing high quality sporting events in order to generate significant economic impact through participant spending. Reimbursement grants up to $20,000 are available to support events or bids that benefit Florida’s Space Coast.

Sports Grants Fiscal Year 2023/2024

Grant Submittal Period - March 1 – March 15, 2023

Cycle #1 (Events occurring between October 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024

The Sports Grant program offers a presentation opportunity to the Sports Committee for events March 28, 2023 and September 28, 2023.

New Sports Event Development Grant Program General Information

The Brevard County Tourist Development Council is pleased to offer the New Sports Event Development Grant Program for tourism or sports-related organizations to support and enhance athletic events seeking financial assistance for events held on Florida’s Space Coast for their inaugural event or within Brevard County for the first time. The event must not have been held in Brevard County for the last five (5) years or is being held for its first time in Brevard County to be eligible through this program. The event may be moved to Brevard County from another location outside of Brevard County to be deemed a new event.

The New Sports Event Development Grant Program application is open ended and can be applied for at any time during the fiscal year. These grants are for events that have never been held in Florida’s Space Coast (Brevard County) or have not been held in Brevard County in the last 5 years.
