Utility Services Department

Brevard County Utility Services Department operates six wastewater treatment plants and three drinking water plants. Providing quality drinking water, reclaimed irrigation water, and wastewater services throughout Brevard County. The system operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and must meet numerous State and Federal regulations, which require a dedicated team from a variety of disciplines working together to oversee the Utility infrastructure and assets. As an enterprise operation, the Utility Services Department is funded entirely from customer user fees and does not receive any tax dollars

CANCELLATION of Precautionary Boil Water Notice Mims

The November 18, 2020 precautionary boil water notice is hereby rescinded following the repairs to the system and the satisfactory completion of the bacteriological survey showing that the water is safe to drink.

To: Residents of the Mims water service area living at 4353 to 5425 US Highway 46, 2495 Bar C Road, Seasons in the Sun RV Resort, All of Cambridge Drive, All of Estrada Lane, 2498 Turpentine Road, All of Tuscany Drive and Napoli Way, All of Lee Road, All of Tammy Drive and Tommy Court, All of Rowland Court, All of Bradford Court, All of the Fawn Lake Subdivision. If you do not live at one of these addresses, you are not affected by this boil water notice.

Brevard County / Mims Rates

Brevard County provides sanitary sewer services to the county, but ONLY provides water service to Mims. This excludes Barefoot Bay. Please check their different rate schedule. For other provided water services please check their website for rates.

Bills issued on or after February 1, 2020 will reflect a 2.1% increase as authorized by Barefoot bay Water and Sewer District Resolution number 13-002, adopted December 17, 2013.
