Update: Parks and Recreation Department to Extend the Summer Food Service Program



Brevard County, FL. - The Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department will be extending the Summer Food Service Program until Friday, August 21.

During summer vacation when school breakfasts and lunches are not available, nutritionally balanced meals will be provided to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Drive up service is available from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. 

On Monday through Thursday children will receive 1 breakfast and 1 lunch and on Fridays children will receive 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches. Children must be present to receive meals. 

Voting may affect some Summer Food Service Program locations, please contact the centers directly for more information.

All children 18 years old and younger are eligible for meals at no charge and must be present to receive meals. Meals will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: How to File a Complaint, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
