BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- Brevard County HOME Consortium is seeking comments from the general public on the draft Substantial Amendment to fiscal year 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan to include the HOME-ARP funding.
Brevard County has been awarded $4,524,586.00 in HOME-ARP funding and purpose to utilize the funding in the following categories: supportive services, development of affordable rental housing, non-profit operating, non-profit capacity building and administration and planning, to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability. The funding must primarily benefit qualifying individuals who are experiencing homelessness; individuals at risk of homelessness; persons fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking; and other populations where providing supportive services or assistance would prevent homelessness or would serve those at greatest risk of housing instability.
FIFTEEN-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: There will be a public comment period will open March 3 and close at 5 p.m. March 20 for the draft HOME-ARP Allocation Plan. During this period, the draft plan will be available for public review on the County Web site: https://www.brevardfl.gov/HousingAndHumanServices/PlansAndReports and at the following locations:

PUBLIC HEARING: The public hearing on the proposed HOME-ARP allocation plan is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21. The public hearing will be held during the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners meeting, 1st floor Commission Chambers, Building C, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, FL 32940.
