BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- Brevard County Utility Services cautions reclaim water customers that service interruptions may occur until the rainy summer season begins.
Due to current dry weather conditions the demand for reclaim water has increased. We ask our customers to lessen demand on the system by following the St. Johns Water Management District restrictions:
•
Water only when needed and avoid water during the hottest part of the day
•
Water for no more than 1 hour per zone
•
Alternate watering days based on the address schedule on the
St. Johns Water Management District website.
We continue to increase our reclaim service capabilities by investing in the system. Currently, we have over $3 million in projects in construction, with an additional $4 million in projects anticipated to be complete in next two years. These infrastructure upgrades increase capacity for our growing population and expand collection operations to use multiple supply sources.
As a reminder, reclaim water is intended for irrigation purposes and is not to be used as drinking water. Brevard County Utility Services offers a reclaim water service status hotline at 321-733-5634. For more information, visit our
Reclaim Water website.
