Malabar Road Bridge Repairs Begin Oct. 8

PALM BAY, FL. -- Beginning on Oct. 8 repair work will begin on the Malabar Road Bridge, in Palm Bay, between Bending Branch Lane and Bavarian Avenue.

The bridge was damaged by a vehicular crash and while safe, requires work to bring the bridge back into full compliance. This work will be performed on behalf of the Brevard County Public Works Department by RUSH Construction, Inc. and its subcontractors.

To minimize impacts to the motoring public, this work will take place in separate phases. Utilizing single lane closures, one travel lane will be provided for traffic at all times. Traffic control devices and advanced warning signage will be in place to guide motorists.

The anticipated duration of the first phase of work is estimated at 6 weeks, with an additional 4 - 6 weeks for the remaining work. Please keep in mind that weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances could affect construction schedules.
