Intracoastal Waterway Park

Beginning Monday, January 6, 2025, Intracoastal Waterway Park will be temporarily closed to public traffic. The park closure is due to a natural gas main relocation project which is expected to last until Friday, January 31, 2025. Sign boards will be placed at the park entrance to alert the public on Monday, December 9, 2024, and remain throughout the remainder of the project. Concurrent to the project will be boardwalk repairs due to damage from Hurricane Milton.

This 8.5-acre community river park is a picturesque gateway to Merritt Island. Landscaped with native trees and plants, paved pathways and winding boardwalks along the Indian River feature small picnic shelters and restroom on the south side. The concrete fishing pier features benches making it ideal for viewing evening sunsets.
