Your license will expire in our database August 31, 2024, which will result in loss of permitting access. To update your license with Brevard County, please review the following instructions:
- County Certified: You should have received your 2025 renewal form by mail. If not, please call (321) 633-2187 or email to Building.Licensing@BrevardFL.gov to request a blank form at your earliest convenience.
- State Certified: If already registered with Brevard, please email your updated license to Building.Licensing@BrevardFL.gov
Review your license status online: Find a Licensed Contractor as additional documentation may be required if expired.

Building Code Update:
Florida Building Code, 8th Edition will be effective January 1, 2024. Applications received after December 31, 2023, will require the 8th Edition application.
The Planning and Development Department is responsible for administering and ensuring compliance with Brevard County’s growth management codes and regulations. The department is made up of Planning, Zoning, Building Code, Code Enforcement, Licensing Regulation and Enforcement, Impact Fees, Land Development (Subdivision and Site Plan), and all of which have key roles in shaping and defining our neighborhoods and community.
