Brevard County Planning and Development Department

The Planning and Development Department is responsible for administering and ensuring compliance with Brevard County’s growth management codes and regulations. The department is made up of Planning, Zoning, Building Code, Code Enforcement, Licensing Regulation and Enforcement, Impact Fees, Land Development (Subdivision and Site Plan), and all of which have key roles in shaping and defining our neighborhoods and community.

Permitting and Appointment Information:

For in-person office visits, appointments are encouraged but not required. Please call (321) 633-2187 to schedule an appointment for any services offered by the Planning and Development Department.

For your convenience, please utilize the online permitting and Building Inspection request portal. If additional information is needed for Building Permits and Contractor Licensing, please email Building.Licensing@BrevardFL.gov.

 Building permit applications currently require the Florida Building Code, 8th Edition application.
