Planning and Development is serving customers in our office by appointment only. This is to ensure that we maintain the recommended CDC precautions wherein providing a safe environment for our customers and staff. Please call 321-633-2187 to schedule an appointment for any services offered by the Planning and Development Department. In addition, we may be able to facilitate a virtual meeting. Also, we offer several online services through online permitting and inspection portal and other services offered by email at Inspectmail@brevardFL.gov.
For the safety of our staff and customers, plexiglass barriers, social distancing floor markers, limited office occupancy, and staff facial coverings have been implemented in our office. Due to limited office occupancy, you may be asked to have others in your party wait outside our office during your scheduled appointment.
The Planning and Development Department is responsible for administering and ensuring compliance with Brevard County’s growth management codes and regulations. The department is made up of Planning,
Zoning, Building Code, Code Enforcement,
Licensing Regulation & Enforcement, Impact Fees, Land Development (Subdivision & Site Plan), and all of which have key roles in shaping & defining our neighborhoods & community.
Online permitting, wind speed maps, permit types, permit search, inspection requests and building permit forms.
Code enforcement questions, common complaints, code enforcement hearing process, case search, enforcement process.
Licensing forms, applications, file a complaint, insurance certificate information, special magistrate, state certification.
Boards, special districts, comprehensive plan and studies, zoning processes, rezoning, forms and fees.
