Young Storytellers of Brevard Now Accepting Applications- Deadline Extended until 5/20/24

This summer, writers between the ages of 10 and 16 have a unique opportunity to participate in a young writer’s workshop to become “published” authors! Participants will attend virtual classes and learn about the elements of storytelling. They will attend discussions with children’s authors, and the program will culminate in the creation of a bound book that they will get to keep and will be cataloged in each of our 17 locations.

Virtual meeting time is Wednesdays at 3:30 PM, Beginning June 5, 2024.

To apply for this program: Applications are available at your local Brevard County Library. Applications require brief introductory paragraph (3-4 sentences) for a story to go with our Summer Reading theme: The Adventure Begins. How does your adventure begin?

Submit completed applications to your local library by extended deadline of May 20. Participants will be notified by May 24.
