FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MIMS, FL. -- A water main break has occurred on Wiley Avenue in Mims. The break is still undergoing repairs.

When the repairs have been completed and water has been restored, residents on the following streets will be under a precautionary boil water notice. If you do not live on one of the below streets, you are not affected by this boil water notice.

Residents of Mims living on West Hickory Circle, East Hickory Circle, Orange Avenue, Myrtle Avenue, Wiley Avenue, Ash Terrace will be under boil water notice.

We advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This "precautionary boil water notice" will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
