Residential E-waste Disposal
As of June 1, 2016 residential CRT televisions and monitors will no longer have to be taken to the County's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers. For more information click on the following link Electronics Operational Changes.
Residents can drop off their E-waste at our Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Centers listed below:

Monday through Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Sarno Road Landfill, 3379 Sarno Road, Melbourne
Tuesday through Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

As a reminder, please
note that yard waste is not part of the auto-cart collection system.
Use your own regular garbage can (32 to 40 gallon size) plastic or galvanized which will be
picked up on your yard waste day.
Auto-cart size changes:
For cart size changes please contact Waste Management's home page or call them at 636-6894 or 723-4455. There is a $25.00
charge to request cart size changes as stated in Section 4(B) page 9 of the "Solid Waste Collection & Recycling Agreement" (Unincorporated areas only).
Special Collection Solid Waste (bulk items)
Single-family and multi-family residences using automated carts (Unincorporated only)
Special collection solid waste will be collected once a week on your yard waste day. Customers must call Waste Management at 636-6894 or 723-4455 for collection.
Please make sure bulk items are separated from your yard waste.
Bulk items are defined as not reasonably capable of being placed in an automated collection cart. This includes normal household furnishings, appliances, electronics and other bulk items.

Solid Waste Code (Chapter 94)
To protect public health by providing an efficient and environmentally sound Solid Waste Management System for Brevard County's Customers. Our Facilities consist of two landfills (Central Disposal Facility in Cocoa and Sarno Landfill in Melbourne). Two transfer stations (Sarno and Titusville). The Mockingbird Mulching Facility and Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers located at the Central Disposal Facility, Sarno Landfill and Mockingbird Mulching Facility.
